BingedWatch is built around your personal watch history. This policy explains what data the app may collect, how it is used, and how you can request changes or deletion.
What data we collect
- Account information such as email address, username, and display name
- Watch history, episode progress, watched movies, watchlists, and show statuses
- Custom lists, list items, ratings, favorites, and profile preferences
- Imported TV Time activity if you choose to import it
- Notification preferences, privacy settings, and account settings
- Basic analytics and usage data used to understand reliability and product usage
How we use data
We use your data to provide the core BingedWatch experience: syncing progress, showing your dashboard, powering statistics, organizing lists, remembering preferences, improving reliability, and helping you discover titles to watch next. We do not sell personal watch history.
Authentication
BingedWatch uses Supabase for account authentication and session management. Authentication data is used to keep your account secure, verify access, and make sure private records are only shown to the correct user.
Watch history and user-generated content
Your watch history, watchlists, custom lists, ratings, favorites, profile fields, and similar user-generated content are stored so the app can show your saved activity across devices. Future public profile or sharing features will respect the privacy settings available in your account.
Import features
If you import TV Time history, BingedWatch processes the file you provide to match shows and episodes, preserve watched dates when available, and mark imported activity in your account. Importing is optional.
Data storage
Account and tracking data is stored with Supabase. Media metadata, posters, and backdrops may come from third-party providers such as TMDB. BingedWatch does not store or host video streams.
Cookies and local storage
BingedWatch uses cookies and local storage for essential features such as authentication sessions, preferences, and keeping the app working smoothly. We may also use basic analytics to understand product usage and performance.
Data deletion
You can remove watch history, reset profile details, or delete your account from settings where available. You can also contact us for privacy or deletion requests. Deleted data may remain briefly in backups or logs where required for security and operations.
